Q: What is Thermally Fused Melamine?
A: Thermally Fused Melamine, sometimes referred to
as TFM or Low Pressure Laminate, is the product made when decorative (printed)
papers that have been saturated with melamine resins are (thermally) bonded/fused
to a substrate (Particleboard, MDF) using a combination of pressure and temperature.
No further adhesives are required. The finished board can be cut and fabricated
into a variety of products including cabinets, furniture and store fixtures.
